Hostal Malure (Owner/Creator)
‘Hostal’ is derived from the word ‘hostile’ which is defined as unfriendly. Malure, in French, means to do a thing upon or after mature deliberation. The ‘Hostal Malure’ character was created as a form of expression of the person that I can sometimes become. I will admit that I can sometimes come off as that unfriendly type with some people.
In 2009, I started my venture into the blogging world via YouTube. The rants and acting that I recorded via my YouTube channel have garnered well over 250k views to date. After doing YouTube for about a year, I decided to branch out and create my very first webmag known as RetroMalure. RetroMalure interviewed the likes of singer Michelle Williams, celebrity photographer Derek Blanks, and many more. RetroMalure was discontinued last year,
For the last year I have been in a battle with myself trying to figure out what exactly I wanted to do. After a few years of letting other people opinions influence my goals, I have finally taken control.
HostalMalure.com will serve as the premiere webmag for the urban and pop generation. We will feature interviews with new and upcoming artist in addition to celebs. Being that I am part of the LGBT community, it would only be right that I also shed light on the news surrounding the community.
